John Frieda Go Blonder Shampoo and Conditioner Review
I have been dying my hair since I was 14, so I constantly have split ends, breakage, and dry strands from overprocessing. My hairstylist Destiny, over at Viva Salon in Las Vegas recommended that I use the Go Blonder collection by John Frieda. (Thanks girl!) So many of us buy the cheapest shampoo and conditioner we can find on the shelves. But, this is a huge no no and eventually will ruin your hair. Most drugstore hair products contain alcohol, which is very drying.
The product claims that it will lighten your hair up to 2 shades in 10 uses. I read a lot of reviews that said it failed to lighten their hair. But keep in mind, you have to use the shampoo, conditioner, and the lightening spray. You also need to activate the lightening action by heat.
I gave this product a try because I bleach my roots and tone the rest of my hair. I was only hoping to find a better quality shampoo than I’m using now. The shampoo really did leave my scalp feeling clean without overdrying. It smelled like citrus and chamomile.
The only downfall I found is that there is not enough product in the bottles. My hair is very thick and requires lots of product. I ran out of the conditioner within a few times of using it, but that’s just MY hair. I would recommend this to any blondies (natural or dyed) who want to invest in a little bit better quality hair care.
The first photo was what I started with and the second photo is 5 uses later. I noticed a small change in color, but the texture of my hair improved!
