Loreal Paris Pure Clay Cleanser

My Skin Type:
I have normal to combination skin. It really depends on the time of year (and time of day), but typically I tend to be on the dry side with a pinch of oiliness on my forehead and t-zone area. I also don’t tend to have a lot of breakouts for having slightly oily skin.
My Experience:
Let me start off by saying that the term “mattifying” almost scared me away. I thought the formula would be too harsh and dry out my skin. But this is not the case at all. I have been using this cleanser in the mornings for the past few weeks. Although I have not noticed a huge difference in the reduction in pore size or oiliness, it does not dry out your skin. I promise you won’t feel that overly tight and clean sensation after you rinse off the cleanser.
When you put the cleanser on wet skin, it foams up like a creamy mousse and glides smoothly over your skin. It has a strong scent that reminds me of a woodsy, manly deodorant. I can see how this might irritate people with sensitive skin.
The product claims that it will purify and mattify your skin. I feel like the cleanser doesn’t get deep enough in your pores to reduce the oil completely, but it does get deep enough to clean your face. After I rinse the cleanser off, my face feels brighter and refreshed!
I don’t normally have acne breakouts, except when I travel. A lot of the time my pores will get clogged from road trips or plane rides. I took the Loreal Paris Pure Clay Cleanser with me on a week-long trip to California and I didn’t have one pimple make an appearance. But again, keep in mind I don’t have acne-prone skin.
I think this is a great cleanser for all skin types. The formula isn’t overly drying, but it does help dim the shine down a few notches. It might not clear your acne, but it’s definitely gentle enough to use every day.
